So... There was a 6.7 magnitude earthquake on the Big Island yesterday. It shook the hell out of Oahu too. The largest of the earthquakes during the day hit at 7:08:50 AM (according to the security camera at my office) and lasted for approximately 40 seconds. As far as I know, there wasn't any real damage on Oahu. The power went out about 10-15 minutes after the quake. Some areas on the leeward (west) side of the island had power restored by 6 or 7 pm. Power was restored to most of the buildings in my area (including downtown) by 10pm. For some reason, my building was out until 2-3am. Some traffic lights still aren't working.
Some items fell off my desk and off shelves, but nothing important was damaged. Even-though I have a 2+ hour backup battery system for my server and main computer, I did lose one of my hard drives. Everything was backed up and the drive is still under warranty, so it's no big deal. The replacement drive should arrive on Tuesday.
