Hawaii's Gas Cap law took effect on September 1st. This gas cap was supposed to prevent gouging by the "greedy" oil corporations. I think we need to be protected from the local politicians... the ones who are gouging us with the nation's highest gas taxes.
The cap is also working brilliantly. It cost me $59.14 @ $3.749/gal (premium) to fill up my car today. One month before the cap, I was paying $2.70. Two years ago, I was paying $2.20.
